July 11th & 12th
We left Darnum about 11:30pm, went into Warragul for a moment then headed to Aunty Lyns for Lunch and a cuppa. We loved spending that short time with Uncle Will and Aunty Lyn, always leave there feeling loved. We drove along the Monash Freeway into town with not too many difficulties getting to the Crown, finding the right car park however took a while .. was turned away from the Members one but great directions got me to the public members car park. We then attempted to cross paths with Samantha first going to the West End of the Casino, but there is no way through for under 18's so went outside and walked around to the lobby of Crown Towers, looking at the majestic fountains and light show near the lobby. Sam took us up to her room which she graciously shared with us for the night. The girls and I headed over the Yarra and jumped a free Tourist Tram (number 35 if you need to know) and only took it as far as the docklands. We Got off and walked up Bourke St .. checked out the Railway station and then into DFO on Spencer St. We managed a meet up with Felicity near Bourke St Mall before she headed home a quick five minute hug was divine, then found our way to a Teppanaki Bar in China Town and wandered down Little Bourke St till we made it to U Square, beautiful kitschy little gifts and onesies that Amelia loved so much she had to have (cow) We left Amelia to a bath and Lauren and I had a quick walk through the Casino and Lauren bought me a Vodka Sunrise! We returned to the room and managed to meet up with Sam who was buzzing from her work party where INXS played! We went for some late night drinks and chippies at McDonalds and then watched the light show along the pillars beside the Crown. While we were waiting for the light show we saw a group of people following a guy with a guitar, I filmed them and caught a guy falling over on the ground. Was very happy will edit the video (itsupside down) and put it on you tube. We managed not too many talks as we all settled for the night and woke up to pack and head back home to Sydney. Thank you Melbourne for showing us your beauty.
